Ingredients
6slicesbacondiced
2lbsfresh green beanstrimmed and chopped in half
1large onion diced
4garlic clovesminced
1/2teaspoononion powder
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoonseasoning salt
1teaspoonsea saltor to taste
1/2tspblack pepper
4-6cupschicken broth
1/2b quartered red potatoes
Instructions
In large pot, cook over medium heat bacon until crisp.
With a slotted spoon, remove half of bacon and set aside.
Add green beans to pot with remaining bacon. Stir to coat with rendered bacon fat.
Add in onions, garlic, and seasonings, stir until well combined.
Slowly pour in chicken broth, enough to cover the green beans and bring up to a boil
Place lid on pot and simmer on low to medium heat (do not boil) for 30-45 minutes or until green beans are just tender and no longer have a crisp bite.
Add in potatoes and allow to simmer another 15-20 minutes until potatoes are softened
